New Jersey car accidents can cause injuries to several people

People who are injured in a New Jersey auto accident may be angry due to the seemingly preventable nature of a crash. Understandably, their levels of rage could increase if the accident happened because the person responsible was acting in a negligent or reckless manner. It is within the rights of the victims to pursue financial damages to help cover the expenses resulting from these types of car accidents.

A total of seven people were injured recently in New Jersey in a chain-reaction accident. The collision started when a person who was driving a car south and suddenly lost control of the vehicle. Subsequently, the car struck a curb and caused a utility pole to fall before hitting another vehicle in a gas station.

This collision caused one of the gas pumps to fall over and spill fuel. One woman from a car involved in the accident was ejected. She and four other people in this vehicle were transported to the hospital. Meanwhile, two other individuals from two other vehicles involved in the crash were also taken to the hospital. Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.

The drivers and passengers who suffered injuries in the chain-reaction car accident have the right to pursue reimbursement of monetary damages resulting from the incident, such as medical costs and personal injury claims. If police discover that a driver caused the crash by speeding, driving while distracted or disobeying another rule of the road, this could be considered negligent or reckless behavior. This information can be used to establish liability in a personal injury lawsuit in New Jersey. If liability is established to the satisfaction of the civil court following such car accidents, claims for financial damages could be adjudicated in favor of the victim.
