As we noted last time, one of the challenges in determining liability is getting the facts straight. With multiple individuals involved in an accident, especially an accident that occurs over a period of time rather than as a single event, this can be difficult.

Around 15 individuals received minor injuries over the weekend after they were involved in a multi-car accident on the New Jersey Turnpike. The incident reportedly involved a total of ten vehicles, though it isn’t clear yet what caused the crashes. One driver reportedly pointed to congestion on the turnpike due to construction.

New Jersey's network of surface roads, interstates and toll ways has been described as a tangled bowl of noodles. You can add to this such Jersey oddities as the jughandle turn (turn right to go left!), the endless array of tolls and the sheer numbers of drivers on the road at any given hour. Don't get us started about the driving habits of some during rush hour on I-95 or how one wrong turn leading up to or exiting the Newark airport can leave you hopelessly lost with no way to legally turn around.
